If you can find one of the origional quad cam zr1 engines, aluminum block high rever more in fitting with the ferrari theme. Still for all that effort might as well find some sort of ferrari engine. Eurospares in UK has plenty for sale. Probably the best least expesive exotic motor though is a late model maserati v8, basicaly a ferrari v8 with a bent crank and reasonabale low down tq.
A little different, and off topic, but I always though Bill Harrah's Jerrari was pretty cool. jerrari jeep with ferrari engine - Bing images
My series 2 block is still available . I am also looking for a series 1 330gt complete engine. I have the rest of the drivetrain.
Another real Ferrari ruined to make an inaccurate replica by Ron. His series 1 GTO is miles off, but gets away with it because a real GTO has never been and never will go to New Zealand. Ron's got talent but IMO destroying historic cars is a miss use of them. Pete
Speedmade , what is the set up. The trans looks North American . What is it going in and how did you mate the transmission.
348 motor mated to a T5 trans from a Mustang. Originally planned to put into a Lancia Fulvia (long story) but currently waiting to find a decent home. If you do a search on my user name you can find my thread with pics of the trans adapter I engineered.
Yes it is. At the time I was worried about height issues. It has since been converted to 355 throttle bodies with adapters.
