Yes other examples do exist, I do not have my OSCA files at hand here at the moment, but as far as know offhand at least 3 were made.
I inspected one in Melbourne, Australia about 8 or 9 years ago. That one was converted from LHD to RHD. It maybe still is in Australia.
Where is the one located that you showed in the photo?

    Kind regards,

The OSCA shown in the photo is Chassis #0018 the first of 3 cars. The other car also in Melbourne, Australia is Chassis#:0072 and is the second of 3 cars built by Boneschi on the OSCA 1600GT Chassis .

Whilst the two cars are based on a similar design they vary significantly in details, i.e. 0018 has a lower roof line and different tailights etc.etc.

Both cars are part of my collection.

0072 was imported into Australia in the late 70s and acquired by me in 1995.
I acquired 0018 in California last year & shipped it to Melbourne, Australia.

I am looking for the third Boneschi built to complete the set. I am also interested in any OSCA 1600GT derivative to add to my collection. Any leads on OSCA Cars or Parts would be appreciated - a Finders fee will be gladly paid.

I am also interested in any literature and contemporary magazine articles etc. which feature the OSCA 1600 GT and in particular the Boneschi versions.

If anyone has any information on these cars - please contact me - i look forward to hearing from you.

    Best Regards, Mike Nicholas

The Osca seen in Palo Alto in the 60s is chassis #0018, the yellow car in the photo.

The second owner acquired the car in the late 60s and years later moved to San Diego. He owned the car for 38 years prior to my purchase.

Please note this is the same car that was shown at the Salone di Torino in 1961 and photos of the car can be found in contemporary magazine articles including Road & Track and Automobile Revue 1961 etc.

I would like to get some feedback on the car's design.

Need more pictures to form an opinion.
The one pic of the yellow car on a trailer makes it look kinda clunky.
A little like an old Mercury Capri

I like it from the rear 3/4 view. Would like to see the rest of the car. Curious on what the original wheels looked like. Do you have the original wheels too?

There is a very good article in the July 2005 issue of "Classic & Sports Car" about Osca 1600.

Hi Mike and everyone else.. Discussing these Boneschi OSCAS on Alfa chat. I have come to the conclusion the 3 Boneschi "Swift" OSCAs were made and ONE twin headlight car.. making it 4!!... What are opinions here? Only supposed to have been 3 made.. Mike, you having two, have you any pics of the twin headlight car?

    Nik,

Boneschi built only 3 Bodies on the OSCA 1600GT Chassis.

I have an official letter from Boneschi dating back to the early 70s confirming chassis #0072 was the 2nd of a total of 3 cars built.

The pictures you included in your post are - Top to Bottom : (Yellow Car): #0018, ( B/W photo - Book : Orsini Zagari ): #0072, #0018 at Salone di Torino 1961, the 3rd Boneschi ( Chassis # unknown ), the photo showing Twin headlights ( Non Original ), is in fact # 0072.

I hope this clarifies any confusion on the Boneschi cars.

Does anyone know the chassis number of the 3rd Boneschi and it's current whereabouts?

    Mike

    Hi..

ok, I can buy 018 and twin headlight car being the same however there are a few differences like the boneschhi script on the side and side light is gone.. I have found big pictue of it now.. If it was repainted, that would of course explain, the disappearance of these items... No idea of the chassisno tho..
