What about this one R/B, thought you Pommy car lovers would have been all over this? Seen them in UK for GBP18k. Could be good for export back to UK, or a GM donk transplant to suit its GM gearbox. Luv this bit "engine needs some attention" followed by "is out of the car and dismantled" just as well it ONLY needs *some* attention! http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=6845756&__Qpb=true&Cr=4&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal%7c0%7c%7cpCar_RankSort_Int32%7c1%7c%7cpCar_Make_String%7c0%7c%7cpCar_Model_String%7c0&__N=1216%201247%201282%204294959600&silo=1011&seot=0&__Nne=15&trecs=67&__sid=1209122194F4 Can u find a buyer for it O/S?
For a starter its a Corniche post 1971 going by the dash board and the front electric window button. Brother in law has fresh motor ,motor worth about .... its worth 15k. Car in concour condition ie Australian plated worth about 50/55k.No money in this car, without the engine fired up what is the rest of it like ie shockers, self levering suspension.
I have been looking at this car for several months and ascertained from the owner that the motor is effectively a basket case with holes in a least one piston. One of the doors is a replacement, brakes have been locked previously and the suspension is questionable from sitting for a few years. The owner does not wish to supply photographs of the vehicle or the motor, despite several requests. It appears that the owner is not really motivated.
I've got a set of pistons, rings and liners at the compression ratio of 9 to 1 worth about 15k,if you want them. Brand new in the RR box.
Do you know the reason for the banning RB ? The moderators are able to see who people are therefore I was assumimg perhaps it was our old friend.
what about this guy and yellafella? one and the same? http://ferrarichat.com/forum/member.php?u=81206
If it is a genuine 1969 model, then it is a MPW. RR did some funny things with the various early models (1970's) regarding dash, handles, centre console, switches and even badges; swapping them from model to model really confuses!
Mulliner used what ever was left over in the parts bin, nothing was wasted. Still like to see the Chassis #.
