Yeah, I saw this yesterday at a Porsche forum. Funny, but no as good as some of the other's Top Gear has produced. For example, the Top Gear review of the Carrera GT was PHENOMENAL!

Still, it was fun to see the Stig slide out of control... -

 

That was beautiful...had me worried there in the beginning though! What a great vid bro...you just made my afternoon.

 

Yeah, I was worried at first, also. Due to the disapointing 996, where Porsche unfortunately aquired a lot of the "SL" crowd (I know, I was at working @ Manhattan Porsche at the time), their goal here was evolutionary styling and some of the old 993 air-cooled car feel (the 993 was arguably Porsche's best production car by Porschephiles). Essentially, and Porsche will not admit it, the 997 is the car that the 996 should have been at the outset. This "new" 911 is supposed to have as much "old" 911 feel and flair as any liquid-cooled, rear-engined Porsche has a right to.

This coming from a fan of the 355 as oppsed to the 360. Let me know when you plan to buy Eli's 360...you and I might have to have a little chat at that point in time. ;-)

btw... this was taken at a pretty big garage with a lot of foot traffic during lunch time... NOT 1 person stopped to look at it... i was the only fool to stop, look and waste time. =)
