Hey everyone, I'll be in Boston for St. Paddy's day weekend this year, so I'm looking for some info on making the trip a good one. I'll probably be staying in the downtown or Dorchester, so any advice on good bars and even some touristy things to do would be great. Thanks!
you gotta do the the Dot Ave. crawl, any REAL bostonian can telll you about it, Dorchester Ave in Dorchester (known as Dot) has SEVERAL irish pubs, start at one end and have a drink in each one. GREAT times !!!!!!!!!!! Have some steak tips at "The Banshee" for me
Banshee, You propably havent been to Dot lately but its known as china town 2 now.... go to southie for a real Irish day
I'd suggest Doyle's, but something about them even having a website kind of ruins the image: http://www.doylescafe.com/index.html. Here is a comprehensive list: http://www.bostonirishpubs.com/. Keep scrolling down for Southie, it is, rightly, not considered part of Boston. Joe O'Guinness
Thanks for info guys. Joe, those links are great. I'll be staying downtown, going to the Saturday night DKM show, then Southie for the parade on Sunday. I'm looking forward to experiencing the great hospitality of the New England area once again. What's the forecast for Boston this weekend? Happy St. Paddy's day everyone!
