Sage Road you say? I'm looking it up on the map now!

I love to head inland to drive. If you're ever putting something together PM me. I'd love to drive the area with someone who really knows the roads.

A good 2 hour route from I-15 in Temecula would be east on Hwy-79-South to north on State Route 3 (R3 = Sage Road) to east on Hwy 74. Follow 74 through Hemet up the mountain to Idyllwild (mountain community) for lunch then you can turn around and go back, or add on 1 more hour and go down the other side of the mountain on Hwy 74 into Palm Desert/Rancho Mirage (Palm springs area). Sage road has very little traffic on weekends, is relatively pothole free, and good for cruising. It's winding and has good straights, but is a bit too narrow for high speeds and cornering (unless you dare...). Both sides of Hwy 74 are typical very winding mountain roads and are usually in good shape, but going up to Idyllwild can have slower traffic on weekends (not so going down the other side into Palm Springs). I'll post something in So Cal sometime to see if anyone else wants to do a VERY Inland run.
