anybody here shop at Mr. Sid regularly? http://www.mrsid.com/ for the past few years i've been getting my non-kick-around clothes at Louis Boston http://www.louisboston.com/ but they're not terribly convenient (back bay) now that i live out in the burbs. so i'm poking about for other alternatives. i went into Mr. Sid once. was summarily ignored and when i tried to interact with a sales person i got a gruff answer and he ran off as i was asking a follow-up question. i guess i smelled bad that day. so if anybody here shops there regularly, i'd be interested in the name of a good sales consultant there so i can give them another shot with their best foot forward, as it were. tia, doody.
1) Pull up to store in a Tubi'ed 550 Maranello 2) Reverse into parking spot directly in front of store window 3) Increase RPM's to 8,000 and hold 2 seconds 4) Repeat 5) Exit vehicle and enter store. I guarantee this method will have sales associates swarming you like flies on crap, or your money back! PS: I just looked at the Louis Boston site... it's very disorienting for me to see a list of men's designers and only recognize one! (Brioni)
since the engine redlines at 7700, you might want to be careful what sort of money-back guarantees you're offering doody.
heheh... I was just guessing what the redline was (although I'm sure with 7700 it could take 8 - I know someone who reflashed his 348 to 10!) Unfortunate to hear ppl ignored you though, I thought I had that problem but I'm younger and *somewhat* expect it.
If a store treats me that way I shop elsewhere. Forever. I learned long ago when I was a salesman in a high end audio store that treating people a certain way because of the way they look (or age, or whatever reason) is a big mistake. Plenty of people with money choose to dress casually. Nothing gets under my skin like an obnoxious salesman who ignores me because I don't look like I have enough money for him to bother. Several salespeople have lost pretty decent sales from me for that reason. Screw 'em, there are lots of places to buy stuff. Birdman
I have had the same problem with car buying. I usually run out from work to check out a car and I am mostly a jeans and T-shirt wearer at work. Have a tough time getting help and even when I do they don't seem to take me serious. What's funny is when I went shopping for a higher end car at Ferrari & Maserati of NE dressed same way, I got great service.
fair suggestion, but my wife's a busy lady. she doesn't have time to shop for clothes with me! doody.
