Anyone ever try to put 355 or 550 seats in a 308? do we know if they would fit?

I would like to know this too.

550 seats would look cool. And to tell you the truth, I was eyeing some 360 ones with the back headrest. But the red was too burgundy for my taste.

I saw a 328 for sale recently with 355 seats in the car. Only saw photos so not sure how they got them in or whether it presents any major installation challenge. They look way better than the stock seats in my 1986 328 GTB.

I don't have 355 or 550 seats, but I'm running a pair of Corbeaus with custom covers on mine...

    I'll take some pix tomorrow.

I think some Enzo seats would look cool in my '82 gtsi. Maybe some seats from a Veyron too. Probably make it go faster.

I have seen Corbeau seats in a 308 and they look OK--I also did some searching on EBAY last night on seats in general and think a set of Mercedes C-series sport seats may fit nicely and look very nice. May even get power controls to boot!

    Those look cool Henry.

BTW isn't JR like a teenager now?? I don't think he needs the baby seat anymore. ;)

I have Sparcos. I like them. But those modern seats would make long drives more comfy.

I wish someone knew if 550 seats would fit in a 308. There is a nice black set on ebay right now for 2500. They would look great in my car. That's about the same price as having the seats redone. It's hard to believe nobody has tried this. They are almost the same shape as the seats above. It makes me wonder.

I'd really like to see that, any links? I don't think I've ever seen a 328 with non standard seats aside from maybe one or two with competition seats.

Thanks Chris, I like yours too.

Those Sparcos are fixed backs, right? How is it putting the top in and out?

No, I got them on sliders.

So get in in and out is a breeze and putting the top is no problem either.

Man, look what time it is?? I got to get some sleep. :)

IMHO, the stock 328 seats are the best looking ones in any Ferrari since the real Daytona seats (in the Daytona). The later ones are more luxurious, but get further from what the 308/328 were all about.

You do need to be pretty thin to fit comfortably, but the 308/328 are narrow cars. Aesthetically, the OEM seats are perfect.

I could see fitting Sparcos if you're competing on track, but given the 308/328's performance parameters and age even that seems odd.

In any event I would keep the original seats around for when the time comes to reverse the "improvement". Personally, I would avoid or deduct thousands of dollars from an offer on any 308/328 that had been kustomized with seats from another car, because it probably involves drilling the floor, etc. Probably a P.I.T.A. to get it back to the original Ferrari/Pininfarina configuration.

I too like the stock seats. Unfortunately, the leather on the driver seat started to tear (108k miles) and I didn't want to spend $2k to have them recovered. The Corbeau's were much more affordable AND they have the flip forward option so that I can store the top behind the seats. I was also able to use my sliders from my old seats so no new holes. Also, I have my stock seats in the garage for whenever I want to go back to stock.

"Customizations to bespoke automobiles to the owner's taste is a longstanding Ferrari tradition among genuine enthusiasts. Perhaps not collectors, but certainly the motorsports enthusiasts whom the cars were to be meant for. The classical Ferrari client didn't look to resale vale, rather the passion, mechanical beauty and enthusiasm that the little cars from the small Italian hamlet were endowed by their creator." -Russ Turner
