    That's why I always discharge before pumping. Static electricity is responsible for a number of these fill up fires every year. Sliding out over your seat and carpets can build up a charge, so you should always touch something before going for the pump.

    That really sucks. He's very lucky and didn't even get burned. He just got done restoring that car too.
