Came across this scene driving through town this morning. Seems that it doesn't matter what type Ferrari you drive, you can always relate...

No injuries to either party by the way.

What a shame, the main thing is nobody got hurt thankfully.

It's not very clear how that happened, I guess the low rake of the Ferrari launched the other vehicle over?

Looks like someone ran a red light and got tee boned - good thing it wasn't major, but the 599 guy is sol unfortunately on his Friday morning relaxed drive.
Why couldn't This happen when he was driving his jag/Benz/bimmer

Yea, judging by the minimal damage to the 599, I'd say it's safe to say he had just began to go after getting a green light.

Glad to hear no one was hurt. It looks like most of the damage to the 599 is directly in the front end but it appears the airbag did not deploy. If that is true I wonder how it missed triggering the sensor.

The airbags were not deployed and judging from the damage to both vehicles it does look as if the Ferrari porpoised down and hit under the truck's driver's side door, flipping it over. That was the only damage I could see (other than the obvious dings from being knocked onto its side). It was interesting to listen to the comments being made by on-lookers in the crowd. I was driving my truck that day so no one knew I was a Ferrari owner. But many bystanders assumed it had been the F-Car driver's fault because, "people that buy cars like that just do it to show off and have no idea how to handle the power." I then heard one guy speculate (having gleaned the information third or fourth hand) that the F-Car had been racing a motorcyclist at the time of the collision. He wasn't an eye-witness mind you, but by the time I left, the story was the official cause of the accident among the civilian crowd. Guess you can't win sometimes, but I'm not sure that I really care...
