Some of you may remember George ( red/tan 355 6 speed ) who has been a member for a couple of years and attended several events. He went on the Olympic Peninsula drive.
His battle with lung cancer is now over.

I am very sorry to hear about George. He was a really nice guy.

Here's a photo of George (on the right) smiling and standing in front of his red 355 at Hurricane Ridge, during the Olympic Peninsula weekend event in July.

George was a neighbor and friend. I have been a Ferrari fan for a long time so you can imagine what it was like seeing a red 355 rolling down our street. George would always stop and say hi. After getting to know George he encouraged me to get my Ferrari telling me about all the great events and people in the club. That car always made him smile he said "You only go around once so you might as well enjoy it". It was a honor knowing him he realy knew how to enjoy life. He will be missed.

I explained, today, that very same motivation.

Condolences to the family, and the whole NW crew as well.
You sure live in a beautiful place to drive them!

I'll not remove the Ron Tonkin license frame from my '77.
    It's part of it's story.

Thanks for all the great comments. You have it pretty well identified. George was always one to help anyone in any situation he found. He was a paramedic & firefighter & that probably was about a perfect occupation for him.
When I found him in his house yesterday, his computer was still on. After 911 got him to the hospital, I went to turn off the puter. His wallpaper is his Ferrari in the woods by his house, showing that he really focused on this fine car. He always liked to share it with others. He often drove it to the firehouse & gave folks rides. He even took it to a wedding of a fireman buddy this fall & gave the keys to the groom so they could get wedding pictures in it.
As for family, his mother, father & brother all preceeded him via lung cancer, too. He never married or had children. His firefighter buddies, Pub buddies & the Ferrari group were the ones closest to him.
    Thanks
    Byron
