Imagine the energy imparted to the chassis after that landing!

And yet rally spectators continue to stand right at the edge of the roads. I wouldn't!

Anyone know if that was a real Stratos?
There are a lot of fakes / replicas in Europe

That is a real Stratos. My buddy said the driver would sometimes get the car three meters in the air which is a little silly. The factory drivers wouldn't do that. Car can be rebuilt good as new with $$$$$.

I wonder if the suspension broke on landing. It really took a quick turn to the right. Actually, he's lucky there is a ditch there or he was straight into the trees.

Sorry guys, I just don't buy the attitude that you should "drive them like they were meant to be driven."

This is an historic rally? What did it prove?

In the end, the car is wasted and the driver is lucky to be alive.

I'm all for having fun, and driving a car hard, but this IMO is just stupid.

It's called Motorsport. If it weren't for Motorsport there wouldn't be any racing cars or any Ferraris at all for that matter.

The car is currently being rebuilt, will be ready in Ferbruary 2010, Mr. Brink should calm down, this is not his first accident with the Stratos and just maybe the next one may be the last...
