JAMES GLICKENHAUS...............
I don't think that there's one person. Jim Glickenhaus, Bill Hart for sure but Art Chambers, William Hubbell should be in there and let's not forget Jon Kofod, either. I am sure that as soon as I post this I will think of like 5 more people.
Although I think that in some ways, Jim is the patriarch of Fchat. He's kind of a voice of reason, mentor, role model, cool guy all rolled into one. The young guys want to be him and the older guys want to hang out with him. But there are others that are highly respected as well.
What is great about f-chat is that everyone is respected within reason. The only exception would be a Mr. Green character. That is part of the reason why this site is so great. No matter what your question or your opinion is for the MOST part it is accepted. I agree with the people sherpa23 said, but there are also many people on f-chat that don't post that much who are integral parts of the site. It is cool though because like William is the track car/512 guy while Mr. G is the classic racecar man with an MK-IV he DRIVES ON THE STREET. whart and art have endless knowledge about f-cars and p-cars(whart) but they also offer legal advice that would cost hundreds of $ an hour. I would vote for either Jim or Wayne. Both are terrbiily knowledgable, and have been around for quite a while. Art
Rob Lay and those who work behind the scenes to bring the community together. Respect should be due to everyone and great respect has been earned by some of those names listed above. Except, for maybe bobafett. That guy is just whacked. j/k If I had to choose one non-administrative contributor, it would be Taek. Sunny
Will they even notice? Marty still hasn't found those rotten eggs I hid in the exhaust pipe of his 575 a couple weeks ago....
Has everyone forgotten the Fchat Mascot? DES!! Jim Glickenhaus, Jon Kofod, William Hubble, quite a few members from the SoCal section, and of course, Rob himself form my respected user list. Though I didnt mention them, there are many more people that I deeply respect as well! I agree with what some of you have said as well; all the users here are respected in one way or another! Its a great, tightly knit community --a family!
Mark, Whenever I think of rotten eggs you will be utmost in my mind. No wonder Callahan never has money or a credit card on him------------------HE'S A DEITY!!!!
I'd have to say that Martin is the Ferrari Man! Martin is a great guy, very funny, very helpful and full of event organizing engergy...he even has a Ferrari business (that lets him get his hands on all kinds of great F-cars!). Ferrari couldn't ask for a better fan! If Ferrari makes it..Matin has collected it. Matin's the coolest guy I've met in the Ferrari world. He's got a great Ferrari wife, a beautiful home and he loves animals. LIVING THE DREAM
Good friends are always equal. There are a lot of people here with a depth of knowledge and a mountain of passion. In the end Passion is really what matters. Passion and Love as Mr Ferrari put it: " I feel alone after a life crowded by so many events and almost guilty of having survived. And I feel too a certain detachment, for in this arid earth that is myself, the plant of hope can thrive only if watered by a son's love."
