So check it: March 24th. Few weeks after I pick up the 360, and I'm out showing a friend the joy that is Ferrari. Get pulled over for something ridiculous (I backed up a street I thought was a dead end that was actually not). Cop doesn't like that I'm in a 360, and writes me a ticket, which is a moving violation. Bastard. Anyway, I fight it, and 6-months later, I had a court date (today at 2:30pm). Of course I completely forgot about the court date until I looked at my calendar at around, oh, 1:00pm. Not knowing how tickets are fought here in NY, I didn't know if this hearing was a real-deal judge/cop/lawyer hearing, or just a 'talk to a clerk' hearing ... (I've fought and beaten tons of speeding tix up in MA, where you are seated in front of an administrative magistrate, and where bringing a lawyer hurts more than it helps). So in trying to figure out how to handle this, I decided to call our buddy Frank DeSousa (ticketproblems.com -- Emil's #1 choice, and we'll all sent by Phil the Sticker Guy Who Crashed His M3). Conversation goes like this: Noah: "Hi Frank, this is Noah. Listen, I know it's way too late for you to help, because I have a hearing today, but I was wondering if you had a sugges----" Frank: "What time's the hearing?" Noah: "Oh...uh, 2:30" Frank: "2:30? Plenty of time! I have a guy who's at the court right now. Name is Craig Bondy. Meet him at 2:30 in front of the hearing room. Bring $300, and we'll do our best." Noah: "Wow, ok cool." So I hang up the phone. __5__ minutes later, the phone rings: "Hi Noah, this is Craig Bondy. Frank DeSousa called me a few minutes ago and told me about your ticket and hearing. I've had it dismissed. You're all set." ... ... Noah: "What? But my hearing's not for another hour?" Craig: "Don't worry about it. Ticket's dismissed. You can drop by whenever you'd like and pay me." Noah: "But, but...how?" Craig: "Noah, I've been doing this for 19 years. I know how to handle this stuff." And that was it. I drove down to 19 Rector street, went to the 2nd floor, found Craig Bondy in the (i kid not) "lawyer pen" (think "vending machine for ticket lawyers"), paid him $300, and got my dismissal report. Ladies & Gents, most painless ticket fighting procedure ever. Anyone have any NYC tickets and need either of these guys' numbers, let me know... nlh
Awesome story. Just a little confused, why did you wait so long to tell us? And how the hell did he get a ticket dismissed in 5 minutes. That's amazing.

Noah, You're the best at relaying coversations. Love how the story lines flow. Congratulations on having everything sorted out.
Ok I'm sold! $300 bux is average "lawyer that doesn't do ****..." cost Now I just need some more tickets
tsk..tsk...tsk... emil, u gotta be on top of things, this was a repost in the tri-state section from a couple of days ago!
5:13pm. Took the "Chunnel" from Paris this morning. Just got back from a spot of shopping in SoHo: John Pearse, St. Martin's Models, Anya Hyndmarch, Connelly, and, of course, Yo Sushi at Harvey Nichols. Keri and I are having dinner at Red Forte (Indian food with a great write up in Time Out London) and after a quick drink at Light Bar we'll be asleep and awaiting our trip back to New York.
The lawyer I hired (and whose success I've yet to see) is a guy by the name of Jan Goldman. Anyone ever hear of him? So far he has delayed two of my court dates about 6 times... the violations were almost a year ago. He's supposd to be a hot shot but I haven't been in court with him yet.
Ahhh my fault. Sorry about that. I didn't realize the six months later part to realize that it was recently. Whoops, sorry again.
