Quick question. As most people know, I live in China. Due to ex-pat laws, I still have residency in the US (I am paying federal and state taxes, and I can vote). I am getting close to buying another Ferrari in the near future (and yes, I can provide documentation if nobody believes me). My question is if I purchase the car in the next month, but don't register it until I officially return at the beginning of 2006, am I breaking any laws? I'm not trying to avoid paying taxes, but I am afraid that AL will be difficult in granting me a title and plates 8000 miles away. The car will be stored with my 365.

Option 2 is registering it and giving ownership to my parents while I am away.

Yes, I have a tax refund burning a hole in my pocket.

    Thanks,
    Erik
