Al- I learn something new here just about every day, so not to worry if there is something you have not heard about before.
Very nice! I wish I had known about the leather-lined trunk option. I have never cared for the "technical fabric" that they used in my car.
Taz, Here is the window sticker on mine for your files just in case. To the OP, congrats on a beautiful car. The 612 has been my favorite Ferrari -- pretty, bulletproof, fast, usable and seems to be getting more attention as she ages. Carlos Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
M- Thanks, and note that the HGTS packages is about the same price as the HGT2 package. Makes sense because both contain pretty close to the same items.
Cool. I have a 2007 HGTS, but no sticker. My 612 has similar features, so this should give me a good idea of what mine might have originally sold for. Thanks again.
Don- If you look at the Monroney, it says she has a 4 speed, torque converter automatic with overdrive. Believable Story.
Beautiful car! Do you have any pictures of the leather trunk area? I'm very interested in seeing it. Thank you and congrats!
I was curious because I'm pretty sure the F1 was an option that you had to pay for, and I didn't see it on the options list. But maybe it's a separate model?
Adam- Just as a note, all the 599s had Superfast F1 and the twin-disc clutch. The Sessanta with HGT1 and OTO with HGT2 did beat the 599 with HGTE into production, so for a while those two 612 types shifted faster (80-85 ms) than the 599. HGTE for the 599 did not appear until CY 2009, MY 2010 for the US. Looks like the development work for the HGTx packages was actually done on the 612 in 2007 or so.
Second that, John. I've learned a lot from reading Taz's posts since joining FChat 4 or 5 years ago. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shiv, Why are you taking pictures of my black car without my permission?? That will cost you a ride in that 288....😄 Richard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk, please forgive typos
Congrats!! It's beautiful! GF is one of my favorite colors on these cars. 😊 and I love Iroko interiors! Richard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk, please forgive typos
for now, it will have to be a pic of the 288 and the 612 in the same shot. Picked up a puncture on the way down to Quail and waiting for a new tire....give me a shout when you are close to San Jose. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry to hear about the nail.! I'll reach out when I'm up that way! I found this on my phone.. Best regards! Richard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk, please forgive typos
Didn't mean to derail the OP. The 288 has a habit of doing things like that. Don't worry about the glass roof and enjoy !
