Outer Barchetta rim replacement?

Here's an obscure issue: any ideas for how to obtain a replacement outer rim for a Barchetta wheel? A pothole encounter bent the edge of the outer lip on one of my rear rims. Although I've had it straightened out the bending of the rim left stress fracture lines in the metal under the clear coat (see picture). Although it seems to be a cosmetic issue and the rim is structurally sound I'd like to refurbish the wheel, but the local rim specialist tells me that there's nothing that can be done for this sort of damage. Suggestions welcome.
