Still researching wheels, I may just order plain hotrod wide steel wheels and Mickey Thompson radial drag slicks to get sizing for sheet metal work

I don’t think it’s going to weigh much when it’s finished, it’s basically a lawn chair now. But your right of course, as the old adage goes: “Suck Bang Squeeze Blow” -Abraham Lincoln

Best of luck with this project. I was thinking about something like this myself, but don't have the room right now.

    Cool project.

I got a guy I think. I just had a set of wheels made to my own design, they are being loaded on a boat Wed and will be here mid sept....so about 60 days from send the deposit to receive the wheels. My rears are only 10" to fit under a stock 308 fender so I'm not sure what the blank forging options would be for the the sizes you are looking for....3 pieces might get you vs monoblock. Email me if you're interested.

On another note the traditionally race only issue of the rear stub shaft breaking seems to be creaking into hard street use as tires have gotten stickier....DOT tries today was sticker than slicks were 20 years ago and I know a couple guys who have broken their stub axles. Something you might want to keep in mind as you fit monster meats to the thing. Their is a little effort in progress to find a solution, still rough but looking like it might function:

Just a small update, drove 4200 miles each way to pick up Guys engine in New Jersey, my kid came with since he’d never been to NYC. Now that the drive is over I can reflect that the horror and pain of driving was actually fun. That’s my son at 8am getting some street meat after the valet said don’t do it. The only chassis updates are the unglamorous part of stripping the tar rock guard off the tubing. I also obtained 100’ of matching 3/4 square tube to build the wing structure out back, decided that I need to match factory tubing and terrible welds

    VB,

Where did you get the groovy aluminum coloted cam end-caps on the flywheel side of the motor?

Been looking for a pair on an off for years.

I have a set of ultra wide 15 “” three piece rims. Must measure the size but the rear tires were 345/35/15. Where in use on a Koenig modded 308

I see you've added the custom Ferrari red tint to the windshield as well. :D What a cool project. I'm semi local to you too, if you need a hand some weekend would be fun to see this thing in person.
