    All of a sudden, Outlook starts with this popup window asking for a password... Meanwhile, the password is already cookied into the window and even when I check the "save this password to my passwords list" box, the window still comes right back up... This, apparently, just started today... Any way I can get rid of this annoying little nuisance...?

    This has been happening to me recently as well. Can not figure it out. It's only for my gmail account too

    GMAIL!

    Antony ... make sure your settings inside of Gmail are all okay for outlook use. Make sure you login with @gmail.com. Make sure you have one of those secure identification boxes checked like it says on the tutorial on Gmail's site. 90% sure one of those will fix it.

    IT SOMETIMES DISAPEARS

    Don't know which OS you are using, but you can try going here and seeing if this helps:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684/en-us

    If you are comfortable with modifying the registry (back it up first), you can try this solution.

    Sorry I couldn't find an easier solution...but then again, Microsoft products are never easy to fix.

    Bruce I checked it out and it still says POP3

    This only happens on my outlook, not on my Treo 650
