Some commercial products Over Promise/Under Deliver while others Under Promise/Over Deliver. How can products that obviously don't do what they are supposed to do, stay on the market?

OP/UD: Pet flea collars. Never worked but they have sold them for 40 years.

UP/OD: Afrin nose spray. 15 seconds to easy breathing, every time.

OP/UD: Modern laundry detergents. Ever since they were forced to remove phosphates, they just don't work.

UP/OD: Cheap disposable razors. I've been using one since January.

Add a pair of OP/UD, UP/OD if you like.

OP/UD: Virtually any fast food "premium" hamburger. The pictures and commercials always show a delectable sandwich with all toppings piled high so the burger is at least 3" high. In reality it is always the same old s*** only greasier and costing twice as much.

UP/OD: Hand tools from Harbor Freight. They are dirt cheap Chinese-made tools. If you are professional or have specific needs, buy Snap-On. But for most home tinkerers these tools will do the job just as easily at less then 1/10th the cost. So cheap you don't care if you lose, break, or modify one. Just buy another to replace it.

I learned that motto in business back when I was a waiter in college. Tell someone it will be 20 minutes for their food to come out and when it's only 15 you're the good guy. Do the opposite, which is what most people do, and you're the bad guy.

OP/UD: Sea Monkeys. They were barely visible, didn't wear any clothes or build any cities, and died after floating around for one day (assuming they were ever alive to begin with).

UP/OD: Mexico. I lived in Monterrey, Mexico last year and I totally expected Mexico to be the slum you read about in the newspapers. Not the case.

Which ones? Because I've tried a bunch of disposables (I can't justify $4/blade) and they all seem to OP/UD

Maybe I have course facial hair but I have to replace my Gillette Fusion blades after ~2-3 weeks MAX.

I hear the best way to shave is using a straight razor, no disposables.

The blades are made from stainless steel. You think your hair is tougher than steel?

If you're not stropping your blades, they'll feel dull after a week or two of use. I strop my disposable with each use and get 6+ mos of use out of each. The article linked below suggests using fabric, but I just use the palm of my hand.
