Over the top Service

After 10 years of ownership, it was time to take my 348 spider out of storage and get it dialed in to get it back on the road. After restoring a number of vintage automobiles over the last 40 years, I'm slowing down and realized the 348 was beyond my interest and physical abilities.

So I called Mark at 7 Lakes Auto Service. Mark and I go back a number of years from his days at FOS. My 348 shows 32k and since I've owned it I've driven it maybe 2000 miles. So it needed some careful and professional attention. I made an appointment and delivered my 348 to his shop near Lake Goodwin .

After inspection Mark emailed a report of present conditions, listing all work in order of priorities. Not only was it very clear and accurate it was priced and offering a couple of issues with different prices where substitute parts could be used at lower prices.

I agreed to have work done to allow me to use my Ferrari for the summer, then schedule an appointment for this coming fall for an engine out service. For the summer he did an oil change and filter, replaced the speedo generator, replace the drive axle boots and replaced the incorrect(Zip ties) on the old boots. adjusted the throttle position and cleaned the throttle plates that were the cause of the hard throttle and erratic acceleration. Replaced both hood and engine cover struts, removed a horrible Clifford alarm system that was wired incorrectly before I purchased the car and lots of other small issue were addressed and corrected at the same time. I might add total price was far less than I anticipated and his staff even washed , vacuumed my car plus did a spectacular job washing the wheels. Since I have owned my 348 the top has never been up. I asked him to show me how to put it up, the spyder looks far better with the top down. Mark and his staff are my go to guys period. He took wonderful care of my wife's Maserati spyder at FOS and his work and attention is second to none. The work is perfect, he cares about his clients and gives more bang for the buck. Why go anywhere else?
