OK, OK. Not everything was overnighted from Japan. And to our knowledge no one in a Ferrari has insulted the driver recently. BUT, that doesn’t make this Supra any less spectacular. Built to perform as well as she looks by our friends at Induction Performance, this black beauty puts all that turbo power to the ground through a very fitting set of Classic 305’s from HRE Wheels. Perhaps we’re just feeling nostalgic, but anyone else excited to see cars like this still prowling the streets? Why the smaller rear wheels? I'd love to know the sizing used for the rubber. Granted, the fitment is perfect - the rear tires are a perfect match for the rim width... it's just strange to see a smaller diamerter rear wheel. I'm curious as to why this was done, if the 18" rear wheel was 'perfect', why not an 18" wheel in the front? I'm used to seeing it the other way 'round, like on an NSX (17s front, 18s rear).
It's a very uncommon choice without a doubt but the customer wanted drag radials in the rears with standard tires up front. He wanted a chunkier look in the rear so he opted for the smaller diameter.
