I know that sounds bizarre, but it wasn't on before this. The guy is over 150kg (330 lbs) After taking him for a drive and hitting a rough bit of road the light came on. Gutted because Ferrari are 200ks away. I have only had this car 3 weeks. My question, would a Fiat dealership use the same scanner? Just putting it out there. I have had a scan guy try to clear the code but his scanner would read every other ECU apart from the airbag. Every fuse has been checked. Someone must be able to clear this rather than having to take a day off work to clear a light? Thanks
I think there is at least a decent chance that a Fiat dealership would be able to clear this code. On my 612, the airbag ecu uses a TRW Airbag controller with Iso Code (communication protocol) AB86010289. I know this as I originally connected to it with my Ficom by telling the Ficom it was talking to an Alfa 159. You may have to try a few different Fiat/Alfa/Lancia models, but I would be amazed if the 360 airbag ecu isnt shared with one of them. Alternatively, you could buy a wee Autel AP200 on Amazon for $60 and then you can clear the codes yourself (besides doing a lot more). Its a great little tool, and unbeatable at the price given that it can read/erase codes from every ecu as well as provide live data. I suggest this is the way to go then.
The scan guy had a tool worth $4500 he said, so would that Autel $60 be any better? It's a pain. My car is a 360 but probably the same as the 360 I would have thought Maybe it's worth a trip to the Fiat dealer and at least try. Someone else mentioned it's the same as the 612 so you might be onto something Thanks for the info. Cheers
A cheap autel ap200 will clear the code. Resin it’s cheap is that it won’t do as many special functions, and you only get one brand included into the purchase price. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I took a friend who was about 250-275lb in my F430. A little worried about the wear and tear but it all worked out.
The 360 is the biggest car i have, compared to the 1-2 series bmw and the slk55 we daily this thing is a land yacht. With literally no arm rests, center console or anything for comfort the interior is wide open space.
I guess it's all subjective. I have some '50s Cadillacs. Now that's a spacious interior!! For me at 6 foot about 189 lbs, I fit in just about anything. But you're right. I felt downright claustrophobic in a BMW Z3 Regards, Ken
I'm off to Ferrari to get the light turned off. Might as well get the 2 year service done anyway. The dodgy thing is the air bags won't work until this is done.
