Did it just break out in flames?? Or did he race it and crashed?

    Good question.

If his death resulted from street racing then I have very little sympathy.

No any street racing, speed was low...
In Moscow very wide and fast roads but very dangerous (c) M. Schumacher.

That turned over van quite a bit away from the burning wreckage, and the debris spread all over the place??

How does that fit into the "speed was low" argument?

And does a Ford burst into flame with during a low speed collission? And is it damages so much none of the people manage to get out of it?

I always liked the Ford, but if it is THAT dangerous at low speed it should be banned from the streets:D

However, I seriously doubt it was a low speed accident, and thus, he has very little sympathy from me, inface he has none! Same goes for the passenger who undoubtly knew what he was doing.

    Pity for the families though.

    speed was about 100kph (60mph), upcoming vw transporter 80-100kph too = 180-200 kph, it's enough :(

Sorry, but I'm a little hesitant to believe that this TT Ford GT crashed head on with a VW Transporter at 60MPH. The owner has clearly gained a reputation as a 'racer'. I'm having a hard time believing that this guy was sticking to the speed limit when he had 1100HP at his command. No lack of power, just lack in skill and driving ability. Pretty common in Russia unfortunately.

Here's a Russian Carrera GT that crashed last week as a result of street racing.

Unfortunately, I often see this with Russian drivers that come in the French Riviera in the summer. Our 599 was almost rear-ended by some idiot on a tuned Range Rover with Russian plates the other day.

I'm sure it's not all Russians, but a strangely large % of those that I see seem to suffer from a lack of common sense and respect for others. They often have a VERY aggressive driving style.

I have no idea what Russian driving schools teach...

We have absolutely normal driving style for our asian mentality.
Look at driving in India or China and then russian drivers will seem to you the sample of culture.
Russia - the multinational country. This russian range rover can be driving by Chechen, Daghestani, Uzbek, Armenian, Georgian etc...
Honestly we do not divide each other to a national sign.
About ford's speed - it was 60mph or 160mph absolutely not important.

I think it is important. The passenger died because of this guys wreckless and irresponsible driving. If he was obeying the speed limit the collision would, more than likely, not have occured and even if it did there is a good chance that both the passenger and driver would still be alive. What about the driver of the VW?

If it's true, it is sad that an auto enthusiast and relatively young guy passed away in a car wreck. I really don't see the need to make assumptions about could have happened without knowing the facts.

    Two People have died.

Show some human respect and decency.

Keep your your racism, CSI intrigue, GT criticism and other nonsense to yourselves.

Ferrarichat should enforce better moderating standards if it or Ferrari NA cares about its reputation.

Honestly... Id understand if he killed people in another car but he did not, this poor kid died in his GT and even tho what he was doing might be frowned upon by most people it does not change the fact that this post is about paying respects to him and his passenger. RIP

I apologize for my, perhaps inappropriate, questioning of the deceased driver and using this thread for my rants regarding Russian drivers.

    I'll leave it at that.

I regret that I must sully this sad news with anything other than heartfelt sorrow. However, this thread has so incensed me that I must respond. A pox upon those who would take the tragic death of a fellow enthusiast and exploit it to make statements other than those of sympathy and loss. May I strongly suggest that unless you are offering condolences that you keep your inane rants, prejudices, and speculation to yourself. Please, find a different forum, or at least a different occasion to parade your outrageous lack of etiquette and bad form. I was taught never to speak ill of the dead, for the simple reason that they have no way to defend themselves or their actions.

Having said, that, it is indeed a sad day for Alex and his family. I offer my most sincere and heartfelt condolences and wish him and his passenger godspeed.

A sad day for Fchat and those who have irrefutably proven a complete lack of judgment by the posts contained in this thread. Shame be upon you.

Once again we see that access to a keyboard, and not necessarily maturity or wisdom, is the only criteria to spout one's opinion...

It's all about Cause and Effect.

Reason; there is a history with the Original Poster, as well as FerrariChat's guidelines.

[1] FerrariChat has Zero Tolerance for street racing.
[2] As a result, so do FerrariChatters, as they too, cherish life and limb of their fellow man.
[3] Those who have commented in a negative fashion were in fact, basing their comments on the Thread Starter's known history of [shamelessly] encouraging reckless driving on public roads in Russia.

That combination, exponentially [C] is where the reactions stem from.

As moderation goes, either a moderator has to stumble upon a particular thread [this is thread #257,480] or post [this is post #138,961,296] *or* the offending thread/post needs to be reported to Moderators.

I clicked this thread because I saw the title, then, as expected, saw the thread starter's name. No one familiar with the thread starter's blasé attitude about public safety is surprised by this response, nor do they agree with it.

That's the cause. The effect is cavalier begets cavalier.

So, the deceased has now been tried and found guilty of street racing by the august court of law called Ferrarichat? And this because of the reputation, deserved or not, of the chap who reported the death? As a practicing attorney, I find it appalling that anyone would attempt to justify some of the comments in this thread.

Here's what we THINK we know: a member of the community died. Period. Ergo, the only appropriate response is to express sympathy for a tragic loss, not to condemn the deceased in a public forum for his alleged bad acts in an event that occurred on the other side of the world.

+1 The "we don't condone street racing" attitude only comes into play when it's not an Fchatter who dies, or when the poster isn't popular. For reasons I still can't grasp people like to discredit E500 - who has even complied with ridiculous "post your picture" demands. Fact is when we have a wealthy Fchatter who say, disobeys a track order, and then kills himself and a passenger, people will carry his torch for months and post condolences, change avatars in memoriam - but if the reporter of the news isn't as liked here it becomes a "well he should have listened to the rules" conversation.
