I'm not an owner, but my dad taught me how to shift a manual in his Abarth Zegato. His was the same body, but not a double bubble. He still had the racing sticker on the inside of the windshield from a race at Sebring. I still remember those push button door handles. His required you to turn the key and then pull a lever between the seats to start it and another lever for the choke until it warmed up. This was over 30 years ago so my memory is a bit foggy. Yours is a great looking Abarth!

You may want to cross post to a couple Canadian threads, we had Italian Car Day (italiancarday.ca) last month in the Toronto area, 240 Italian cars in attendance (Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Alfa, Piaggio, Fiat, Lancia, Vespa.....) and there was this very car in attendance. I believe it was an Ontario car, possibly a Quebec owner, I could cross post in the Quebec Thread and the Ontario thread. If you go through http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=304034 the threads for the event, you will see pics and links to pages of pictures. I personally didn't photograph this car, but I'm sure someone did. Also, if you contact fchat username thedoc, Gary was the President of Italiancarday.ca and he may be able to link you directly with the owner.

Ok so now that I have clicked on your link, I see .ca Were you the fellow with this car at the event??????????????????

Back in the day, I had one similar to the picture posted, but light blue. This would have been around 1961 or 1962, and I used it as an every-day driver for a while, until it got to feeling like driving around inside a bass drum. I've often wondered what happened to that car, as it was "like new" when I had it, and a barrel of fun to drive. Wish I had some pix to post.
