1999 F355, 38,000 miles. All four Oxygen sensor slow response codes repeatedly set off the ODB-II. At least one of the sensors is relatively new. What are the chances that altitude might be at least part of the problem? My town is at 6,512 feet elevation and my house is at 8,100 feet.

    Very probable.
You can replace all 4 sensors and or clean all connections
Disconnect battery and have the car learn the baseline at that altitude

Very common in that era and earlier cars delivered to high altitude states had different ecu mapping, carb jets for high altitude. The cars we sent to Colorado had them. I was a Japanese car company not ferrari.
When we track at high altitude same thing

    Hope this helps

Might be worth consulting with Dave Helms or the local Ferrari dealer if you have a relationship with either.

The weather sure is beautiful here in Denver today! :)

Get a wifi obd device and an app and set up a panel that will show all four o2 sensors on a plot. See if something's amiss of just watch them while you drive real time and see how they are reacting.

The cel is just a light. You can diagnose this yourself.

    Bob,
What kind of wifi device do you have? I was looking at the kiwi unit. Pretty darn cool for real time diagnosing. Wish it had CAT ecu readings!

I've got the KIWI with DashCommand. Works a treat.

It's the car that doesn't report cat temps to the ecu, not the kiwi.

When I hook the kiwi up to my 2010 audi, I get real time cat temps.

Well, for $27 all in, how can I not order up the ELM 327 Scanner Adapter? So I have. I presume the DashCommand Ap will work fine on my iPad Air. So I should get some data .... but I have NO confidence that it will mean anything to me. So I may be coming back here to ask for wisdom in interpreting it.
    Thanks for the help.

Get the app. Plug in the device. Open the app and do the wifi connect thing. Poke around the app and you'll find the 02 sensor /fuel trim pid s. You can set them up as single gauges, single graph plots, overlay the graph plots or just as data lines.

I'll help you set it up if you'd like.

Got the app. Plugged in the device. Did the wifi connect thing. Under Diagnostics, I see the four "Oxygen Sensor Slow Response" codes. But I can find no way to see any raw data, no way to set up O2 Sensor gauges, graph plots or anything else beyond just seeing the fault codes and seeing the button to reset them. I did this with the car idling in the garage. Maybe I need to drive it and then further capabilities will magically appear????

I have to plug mine in and make you a video if you cant set it up. I only did it once and I dont recall the steps but it is there. Let me see if I can find some documentation.

Fired up the F355 again with the DashCommand plugged in. I finally found under Gauges, the O2 Sensor Voltages gauge. Under Edit Gauge, I found color codes ... Orange, Purple, Blue, and Yellow for PIDs 1 to 4 respectively. My gauge is only displaying Orange and Purple. I have to presume that is Bank 1, Sensor 1 (Orange) and Bank 1, Sensor 2, (Purple). At idle the Orange line cycles back and forth between .05 to .8 and Purple stays around .06 to .2. At 2,500 RPM Orange stays at .7 to .8 and Purple rises to .7 then settles back at .06.
Since I am not displaying Blue and Yellow lines can I presume the ECM is not getting signals from the Bank 2 sensors? The codes I am repeatedly getting are "Oxygen Sensor Slow Response" for all four sensors (133, 139, 153, 159) so that implies the ECM is getting info from all four.
So now I am more mystified than ever.

I don't have mine connected to,the car but looking at the app now

    Go to diagnostic grid

At the bottom got to add pid

    Check o2 sensors

In the sub menu add the sensors I have checked

Back to the add pid page and add fuel trim

Add the fuel trims I have checked

Now when connected and viewing , watch this data grid for now. Forget the gauges.

Take screen shots of the data grid and post in here or using your phone take a video of the data grid and post in here.

I think there are several ways to monitor stuff on Dash command. Heres what I did:

From main menu, choose DATA GRID. Press menu button on my Samsung s4, that gives the option to add/remove PID's and and manage logs. I chose fuel trims and O2 sensors for PID's.

Then connect to KIWI unit and hit START button on DATA GRID page. That should start recording info. After you run the car go back to menu (hitting menu button on phone) on the data GRID page and choose MANAGE LOGS and you will see your recording and can play it.

The "smack in the face" moment for me was hitting my phone buttons to show additional menus! I was trying to do everything through the APP icons.

    Hope that helps.

The top 4 are the 02 sensors, the bottom 4 are the fuel trims.

Watch and film or post screen shots of this page.

Right Ernest. The gauges and graphs are cute and neat but the data grid is best.

I'm showing an iPad so it may display diff on a iPhone or Samsung etc

Lets see if I can attach the video. It says the Forum's limit is 488.3 KB and the video is 1.21 MB. Won't attach.

The first photo, At Idle, is upper right (1160 RPM)
Second photo is upper left (3076 RPM)

I dont know enough to help from what you posted, but here is a site with some good reading on O2 sensors and fuel trim. May help understand what you see in the data.

    OXYGEN SENSORS
    Fuel Trim?
