There supposedly is. I don't remember where I saw it, but I believe it was advertised as an official BBR made for Dolce & DiLuca (spell?) It is the most expensive grocery store on the east cost and naturally it is in New York City. From the pictures it looked different to the YOW model

You were close - the model is from Davis & Giovanni. There is a coffee shop in NYC called Dean & Deluca - is that what you were thinking of?
In a quick search I found no indication of a connection with BBR or that the model is anything other than a built up of the Yow kit.

No, The Davis & Giovanni is mastered in-house, so not based on the YOW kit.

Got a link to their site? I've seen other models from them and they all appear to be someone else's kit.

    :)

The guy who's making the go karts told me he's applied for entry in the Le Mans Children's Car race that will proceed the 24.

Better fit him with a HANS device.

Funny you say that, the kids race was the first thing I thought of. Close friend was at LM this year and brought back some amazing photos of the entries in the children's race - absolutely amazing, I'll try to find some. I got plans for Maserati 250F that would make a great project, so would Bugatti type 59, but a Sharknose could really take the cake! :)

I didn't think so. I believe that they are not a manufacturer but a reseller of other people's kits. Whether they build them themselves I couldn't say. Perhaps they contract the builds out but I really doubt that they are mastering their own models.

I wouldn't make that assumption. There are several top builders that do not sell kits but only do builds and master there owm models. When I look at the D&G build it does not look like the Yow kit especially in the rear silver painted area. On the kit it looks like part of the body casting molded in. On the D&G build it looks seperate. Not that it could not be modified from the YOW kit but its very unlikely they would want to make that modification on every kit build. Casting a new kit would be easier. Casting a 43rd is really no big deal so anyone that could build a real nice model can most likely have the ability to cast or at the very least send it out if they are doing large runs of builds. They claim to be doing 300 builds (which is not very rare in terms of models as the auction stated. In fact that would be considered a pretty large run). If thats the case I'm not sure they would want to spend money buying a YOW kit when they could cast there own much cheaper. Then again maybe YOW is suppling them for very cheap. Or they could have just modifed a YOW and started making there own.

The only way to be sure is to compare both kits right next to each other.

But I would not assume they couldn't master there own kit or get someone to do it for them. There are many people out there that could do it.

Nothing I said indicated that I thought they couldn't do it. Hell, I can do it at home and have friends who have produced their own 1/43 lines.
What I was trying to say about D&G is that none of their models are unique productions. They have all, as far as I can tell, been produced by other companies first. In the absence of evidence to the contrary, such as evidence from their own site, I'll continue quietly doubting that these are their own work.

it's a copy !! based on Yowmodellini kit.
But this model is smaller than the original.
I saw this model to Romu shop to Tokyo and in Yowmodellini office. I have compared the 2 models.
Davis & Giovanni (Hong Kong) made differents 1/43 models, copy of BBR, MR and Yowmodellini model.

I'm in real trouble now. Dad got him a Honda 50 three-speed automatic. Two minutes into it, he was ripping it up around the back yard. Have I mentioned he is three? Damn genes.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYbxHQIIwxI
