If the information was correct this was the plane. Very sad.

Vlado was an extremely competent pilot. He literally flew them all. He helped me with my airplane when I first bought it way back in 1989. He had a great family with 3 kids and his wife Mary. I flew with him many times when he used to own "Moonbeam McSwine", we did a lot of formation flying and tail chasing.

He is one of 3 people I ever let fly my Mustang.

He will be greatly missed by many.

It appears that airplane hit pretty hard and at a shallow angle. but I can't believe that the prop and hub weren't more damaged. I saw a couple of these incidents before and when I was in the USAAF and they weren't as spread out as this one. Pretty sad to see. Having been in three incidents, including a head on collision, I can honestly say that nobody felt a thing when it happened, if that is anything good in a situation like this. RIP.

So, assuming they did not actually contact the powerlines; what are the guesses for the "pitched up and rolled to the left" just before the crash? (KR posters say 'pics show the prop was not turning at impact?')

No need to speculate... I will wait for the NTSB to do there job and provide the real facts. KR just takes several news agency's reports and just does a cut and paste job.
