    About 10 minutes into driving my 2011 458, the CEL came on. I drive back home and hooked up my code reader, it showed a P0491 Secondary air injection system, Bank #1.

    Anybody have this problem? I id a search and found that it has occurred on a California. Also searched for P0491 on the Internet and it seems to be common on VWs and BMWs.

    I know some people have reported CELs caused by a low battery, but I keep my CTEK on it all the time and have no starting issues nor other issues

    Most likely the valve - Sometime the valve has moisture build which in turns becomes corrosion and the valve doesn't open enough for the oxygen sensors to register the flow. replace them ... Most likely your pump is working since it was only on 1 bank.
