    1999 Maranello 550 power steering force to turn the wheel is more difficult than it used to be .Sometimes the power steering works fine and other times its much harder to turn the wheel

    Change the fluid first, should be done every two years. Then bleed the system like it says in the workshop manual, turning the wheel back and forth. If you still have a problem, take it to a pro. Could be the pump, vacuum line, vacuum booster, or even the Hydraulic Steering ECU.
