OK Jim.... now that you've driven in all the exotic/classic
european road races.. you need to drive the 90 miles
on hwy 318 at speed LEGALLY......How does a 14 mile straightaway sound?

I think the P4/5 would enjoy the 33 -34 minute excercise
    and love YOU forever.

I usually run solo (without a navigator) but if you
want you can do your first run with me as Navigator
    in the Twin Turbo Gallardo.

After what happened to Richard I'm not running at high speed on anything but racetracks designed for those speeds. Even though legal these high speed public highway events are not for me.

We will be high speed testing on a race track in September and I am looking forward to that.

I gotta say, I agree with Jim.. Those road races does not seem that appealing after what happened. Just imagine if someone crashed again. These cars are designed for high speed, yes, but please do it on a track. It wrenches inside me everytime I see someone I know have crashed because of these road rallies. Keep it on the track, even if it's for the good of charity.

Most problems on these road races are tire related.Every mile is carefully inspected prior to a run. But let's face it guys... if you blow a tire at speed, I don't care what surface you are running on(track or otherwise),at these speeds you definitely have a problem situation!

    Have fun in September.

Difference beeing tracks are specifically designed for high speeds and have run off areas, tyre walls and gravel traps etc. This compared to trees, lamposts etc on roads.

Not knocking anyones right to participate in such events, but I don't think they're directly comparable...

The car would not pass Unlimited class tech for this event.
But a nice 160 mph cruise might be fun.
I ran the F40 there in May and will probably do so again in September.

Sure he couldn't run above 150 target with his safety eqipment, although
you know they can't police short high speed runs.
I think we are outnumbered opinion wise about open road racing here.
Strange how rare a ferrari or Lamborghini is in this venue.
If you haven't actually tried it you don't know the fun doing these.
Think I'll do the 1 mile shootout in Sept how about you?
