    that's cool ....are they street legal in the US? i know the zonda wasn't, and didn't know if the H was?

    Huayras will be street legal in the US. There are five or six Zondas here according to HP, but I don't know if they're modified for US street use, imported as track cars, or if they're here as noteworthy collectibles that are allowed something like 2500 street miles a year.

    From my understanding, the Huayra won't be on sale in the US until 2015 due to an airbag safety regulation that it currently can't pass and Pagani isn't being granted an exemption :(

    Not street legal for the US. Those same two cars were featured on Jay's Garage on Leno's website. I suggest you look at Leno's interview with Pagani as it's really interesting.

    Pagani only has 60 people TOTAL on his staff --- design, engineering, marketing, sales, manufacturing, customer support --- it's pretty impressive.

    I'm not sure if His Honor referenced the 9-13-2011 Leno piece to show that the Huyra isn't street legal in the USA, but the only reference made in that 19-minute+ video to legality occurs around 16:20, where Leno says it's not legal for him to drive the car, so HP will.

    I take that to mean that the car hadn't been certified a year ago, not that it can't be or won't be. (I'd bet that HP has foreseen the possibility that the Huyara won't be granted exemptions, and that it's just a matter of time before we see some of these cars on US roads.)

    From what I know, they are already working on the new advanced airbags.
    US Cars should arrive by the end of 2013, followed in 2014 by the Roadster version.

    The Pagani was placed next to my car at Concorso, so I spent considerable time looking it over. For me, the Pagani is to supercars as the tourbillon is to wrist watches. It's as much about, or perhaps more about, the display of virtuosity in design and fabrication as it is in actual driving performance. A bit too much bling for my sensibilities.

    Aside from the rims I think the car is fantastic, it's what Ferrari and Maserati should look at real hard. Sitting in new Ferrari's I am always underwhelmed by all this cheap plastic that surrounds the occupants? The Pagani's fit and finish is beautiful.
