    Hello,

does anybody have the paint code or name of a light blue metallic color for the Boxer. As I understand it there are at least two light blue shades.

    Thanks,

    Lars-Erik

I have a 308GTB in Azurro metallic, the old Dino color?
It's light blue I can get that code number.

There's more than two blues possible, I would think...

If you give me the chassisnumber, perhaps I will have the original colour of your car in my database (and possibly other information too if you're interested).

The most popular blue for the 365BB was Blu Dino Metallizzato, 106-A-72. This colour has been interpreted as light blue metallic by several restorations (notably 365BB 18265 by Alex Leventhal and the Dino that JonB restored). However, all-time Ferrari guru Marcel Massini maintains that the car in the original brochure photoshoot (17185) from 1973 was this colour and the photos show a notably darker blue. I also have a photo of the 1970's of the same colour that looks much lighter, closer to what Jon and Alex did. So I am not sure what shade that colour is anymore. If in doubt, it is always good to go with Marcel Massini. But it is hard to get a definite answer. If you have some original paint preserved behind the dashboard then that would be the best - MUCH more reliable to recreate the colour from a sample than it is from a paint code.

I'm not aware of any Azzurro Metallizzato 365BB's. There was also a Blu Dino colour - a sort of Bugatti Blue, non-metallic, which was used on at least the 512BB. Again, I don't think there was a 365BB in that colour. Mostly it was BDM, Blu Ribot, Blu Scuro.

I've got seven in my list of UK cars alone. I'd guess there were as many as 30-40 globally?
