It's probably one of the Metallic Colors, for which many of the codes were inconsistent or lost. The manufacturer was Glidden Salchi of Milan.

    The colors included:
    Verde Pino
    Verde Medio
    Blu Dino
    Blu Sera
    Azzurro Metalizzato
    Marrone Dino
    Grigio Ferro
    Oro Chiaro
    Argento Auteil
    Rosso Rubino

What color is the car now? Is it green, blue, brown, silver...? If you post a picture, we can probably tell you what color it is called. (Assuming it is still the original color.) If it has been repainted, chances are that somewhere on the body the original color still is hiding.

Thank you both for your responses. the car is Red, but has been painted. it has what I assume is a yellow primer under the red, and I was worried that the car was originally yellow, and someone had painted it Red.

    Thanks again,
    Dan
