Can anyone please tell me the Ferrari paint code # for the standard silver 5 - star Campognola wheels? I am getting my wheels (rims) painted for my 308 GT4 and would like to have the correct original color match.

It's also been posted here as FER101 or FER101C (but that's just a rename of the Glausrit 101).

The real reason I posted is just to mention that some of us have gone with a slightly brighter silver color (IIRC Dave Handa mentioned that he had used the 355/360 silver wheel color, and I had my TR wheels done in a Mercedes silver) -- anyway, just something to consider if you think the 101 is too dark grayish rather than silver (but also probably depends on how it goes or doesn't go with a car's other colors).

I did my wheels myself with a "Wurth" product from Germany...aka the "Griot's Garage" kit. The wheels turned out great, but it took much effort and rattle can finesse to get professional results. I must add, I compared the color and "flake texture" of my at home paint job to a non-faded original 16" QV rim and my 14" original Cromodoras...the match was much to my satisfaction.

(Once a layer of brake dust is on the wheels, they tint dark on ya anyway)

Just my 0.02, don't strip the wheels all the way if you don't have to...If you do, make SURE a good zinc chromate primer is used to stabilize the magnesium prior to the color and clear coats. I've seen professionally repainted Cromodoras bubble up pretty bad in cases where they weren't prepped correctly.

You can see my wheels in my profile picture. PeterB.

I bought daves wheels and had them repainted. I am getting some (2 wheels only and it has not gotten soft or worse in a year)wrinkling which I am attributing to improper primer or primer incompatability. I like the 101 and it was the same color used on the cars at the time. Be sure you get them semi-flat clear coated! I just got judged at a FCA event at CI and came in silver the judges said good thing I did not have a glossy finish they mark off for that. Funny though they marked off points for my correct grill color which was dark anthrachite grey, I think that is also the same color they painted the cars with does anyone know the name of that color it was not the prunga but a very dark grey mettalic?
