Just curious- It seems that 9 out of 10 Ferraris are red..... and the next most common color is Black. I just Bought a 1978 Fly Yellow 308 GTS (Looked a LONG time for one!). I have only seen 2 or 3 for sale...EVER..... and never in person. Only a handful of the other colors seem to pop up. (White, blue, silver) Is there any data on actual production?
LOL! There has to be a registry of info for stuff like this. Keep the thread alive and maybe someone "in the know" will shed some light on it.
I have a yellow 1977....black interior, with Boxer trim. I cannot answer your other three questions......LOL! Maybe try the Factory site, you need to register your VIN with them anyway.. Yellow is a little hard to take on some days, so I have a blue one as well..... The red/tan thing really hits around 1980, before that they were more colors, like the Dino.....
I was the one who posted about the 328 colors. We really need to find someone with access to factory production data.
You can converse directly with the Factory thru the Owner's Website. I do it all the time. I recently changed my email and when I asked them to revise it, they not only did it for me, but sent item by item instructions on how I could have done it myself! LOL! Duhhhh.
I contacted the factory because #23825 left the factory in Rosso Rubino and I wanted to find out how many were built in that color. They were not able to provide the info. I am thinking about going back to the orgional color so it will match my Heritage Certificate.
That is a rare color. I've seen pics posted on the "other" site........... Painting a 3X8 is pretty labor intensive, done properly......
