    Hi guys,
I just got my brand new 2015 458 spider here in Dubai. I wanted to get the car protected and so the guy at the Ferrari showroom suggested that I get the car paint protected. Quite a few people I know have had their car wrapped instead of paint protection because it last longer. The issue I am thinking of is the heat in Dubai and the wrapping might become a long term issue but I'm not sure??

I have done both. What I tend to do now is get the car paint corrected(takes out all the swirls and defects in the paint that comes from Ferrari) and then I put the clear bra on top. That usually works best for me. I also live in warm climates, South Florida and Southern California and the wrap has help up no problem. I have done just a paint correction but have regretted not wrapping it after because I noticed a lot of paint chips on the front end of the car from normal road debris. Congrats on your 458!

    Thank you for the advice.
I'm still not sure really, the guy at the paint protector has said that because of the heat, none of the companies do their research of the climates in Dubai and how hot it gets Thus effecting the wrap overtime. The paint protection also only 2 years and then requires further retouch, but is less than half the price compared to clear bra!

Clear bra is the obvious choice for protecting the paint. Pint protection wouldn't prevent high speed chips drilling your paint. In the past those clear films were not as good and were subject to yellowing, peeling off, etc. Now, they are much better. I am familiar with Dubai weather and l know that it can get very vey hot. I'm sure that short term exposure wouldn't do any harm. But I wouldn't drive it so much during daytime in summer months and never park it under the sun.

Cover the entire car in Xpel ultimate and the windshield in Braygroup or Clearplex.

Merg95, congrats on the new 458 Spider! Amazing car! We have done plenty of installs in Dubai, in fact we were part of the Dubai Grand Parade last year and it was a blast!

I can tell you we definitely do our research and testing on our films in extreme cold and extreme heat...such as Dubai. XPEL ULTIMATE carries a 10-year warranty, covering defects such as: yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering and delaminating. So driving your nice new Ferrari won’t be an issue with XPEL ULTIMATE protecting it.
