    Sold my SL500 last night on BaT. Incredibly disappointing result but either way some cash has been freed up. Considering a respray, possibly a color change on my 911. The motor is coming out later in the month to do a top end rebuild. Seems like a good time to just go the extra mile. I'll need a good quality paint job, full glass out and disassembly. Could probably deliver the car 98% ready to spray.

    Skip McCabe does amazing work and is honest. He is always busy, so I’m not sure if he will fit with your timeframe. His shop is in Mundelein. 847- 949-8340

    I've reached out to them, the place in Lagrange. We'll see what happens. Right now. I'd love to know ball park pricing. I know that's not possible. But I hear numbers anywhere from $7500 to $25000. That's a big range. I tried O'Hare Auto Body too, the woman there gave me the sigh as if she was annoyed. Google says someone suggested McCabe's was permanently closed, may be in accurate.

    You might also want to call Sport and Specialty and ask who does their paint. I’ve seen a couple cars they restored and they look very nice. I used them in the old days for mechanical work. Clear and upfront.

    Skip McCabe did do several Pebble Beach Ferrari's over the years, including the kings black 1954 375 Plus........
