I got these paint meter reading for a 512M. Car comes with a Classiche certification as well. Owner claims the paint is original but these readings seem a bit high. How can I tell if the car has not any paint work done to it? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I have read that dealers had to touch up new cars before delivery to customer!

My original paint Testarossa was around .007" material thickness and you want to see consistency. My new F150 is .004"!

Does that mean that a lot of cars were touched up or just a few here and there?

I would imagine delivery from Italy and how it was treated on the way!

Looks like paint was measured in microns. If i remember correctly 1 mil is equal to about 25 microns. Top panels are usually thicker than sides. Looks about right around 5 - 6 mil.
