I have a very small amount of red paint on my 458. Tried using a clay bar, then a very mild polish. Neither worked. Any recommendations on what more abrasive products in the market would get the job done without affecting the clearcoat?

I use the stuff that you use to polish out your plastic headlights on my daily driver and Ferrari. It takes paint transfer off with a bit of elbow grease so it is a very fine abrasive.

have you tried a prepsol solvent product? it is used for overspray and other projects. honestly, I would ask a professional first before taking the chance of doing any damage to your new car. a body shop or detailer?

You will likely need a heavier polishing with a machine, if the clay didn't work or a simple hand polish. Its also likely you will find marring under the transfer that will need work. What area of the country are you in? I could try and line you up with a proper detailer in your area.

    Cheers,
    GREG

May I inquire as to the type of paint you have on your clear coat?

Try some 3M Adhesive Remover first. I've gotten paint transfer off with that many times, but it will depend on what kind of paint has transfered. The kind like from rubbing your garage door? or the kind from another car?
