Paint work on Ferraris in this case a 90 Black TR. Can areas be sprayed and blended by some skilled painters? How easy is the paint to work with and what kind of paint is it? One section in a Black 90 TR that I am looking at that looks like a big dig was taken out of it and then touched up pretty bad. I have some amazing paint guys that work on boats and spray and touch up all the time and they asked me. What type of paint? How easy is it to paint and blend then wet sand and blend? Any ideas on this would be helpful as I am not sure.

    Andrew Kelley.

I'm not an expert in this area, but here is what I think. If the paint is original on the TR then it's probably made by Glasurit. Look for the paint code tag, I think it's on the trunk lid (underside of course) on the driver's side, the owner's manual shows the exact location of the tag. I don't think the paint is clear coated, but not sure. There is a fellow fchatter with a black TR that had some paint work done to the front of his car by a high end shop, and I could NOT tell it from original. TRs can be very difficult cars to paint depending on where the trouble spot is. Is your car black without any metallic in it? If so that helps.
