So I ended the year with a bang! Backing into the garage at a tricky angle and in a hurry I caught one of the posts on my lift and scraped the corner of the rear bumper. Luckily not too bad, but time for some paint work. Any recommendations in the area or should I use Ferrari San Antonio? Thanks in advance for the advice (and no advice on how to back up - the wife has already helped in this department...). Dave Image Unavailable, Please Login
Try Bob Haynes Custom Coach Works. Does a lot of work on high end cars (Bentley, Merc, Ferrari, etc). Ask for Bob Haynes and tell him Chris Hard sent you.
Chris, Thanks for the advice. I've got a call into Bob now and awaiting a return call. Hoping my new year starts out better than I finished off the old. Dave
Another possibility is Artisan Auto 492-0070. Main guy is Billy Leak, specializing in high end custom hotrod body work. He's a little gruf and some people find him difficult to work with but he really knows his stuff and has extensive experience with modern Ferrari alloy and composite fibre body repair & refinishing. I have no affiliation but I've seen his work and can't imagine anything better.
It's with Bob now. He found that it had some previous work done on the bumper so he is correcting it too. I'll be back from Beijing next Saturday and should be able to pick it up in time to take it up to the Superbowl! If not I'll slum it in the Lambo. I'll post up when I get her back. Cheers
