    To add something more objective (because I absolutely support the unpainted/black challenge grill option)...

    One cool thing about the grill is seeing various mechanical bits. The black makes it more of a contrast when light plays off shiny metal stuff in the engine bay, like a polished stainless exhaust. You won't see much though a body color one.

    If anyone decides to paint there Challenge grill, be sure to keep hold of the stock one for when you go to sell the car.

    Thank you all for your excellent comments and pictures. I greatly appreciate all of you taking the time to post. Conclusion = I will NOT be adding a painted CH grill to my 1998 F355 Berlinetta.

    Agreed brother! My pipes run a slight grey but the pipes above are very grey, normally this is a sign of lead in the fuel, but lead is not good for our O2 sensors. How grey are your pipes Pap?
