Well after the excitement of Le Mans and Spa ferrari days, my 308 is back in pristine mechanical confition having just had a new manifold and brake servo. For some years now, I have been considering giving her a new paint job with a full strip down. The paint is still the original that came form the factory but now it is looking a little tired and there are a few small dents on the doors from other cars opening their doors in car parks etc. Also I am getting a littel rust on the driver side lower panel near the wheel.

As I plan to keep this car forever, I want the best possible work done. I looked in the UK and the prices are quite expensive and i was wandering if anyone here could reccommend any high quality bodyshops in Europe that I can call and get some idea of comparative cost.

    Many Thanks
    Philip

My 308 was stripped down and repainted by the previous owner here in CH. All the little dents and things were sorted, the work was fantastic. The new owner of the car posts on here, so I'll see if he still has the reciepts. It wasn't cheap, I remember that much, but the exact price escapes me at the mo'. The quality of work was very high.

    Cheers

Thank you. It would be great to find out some coparative costs if you can find the papaerwork :)

    Malcolm.

Thanks for the PM ! I know of them and although I haven't taken my car there I have rough good idea about costs. I also have a friend who used them for his 308 but his was a much bigger job as there was significant rust they had to treat. I am hoping to get an idea on costs in the continent to see if there is substatial difference.

    Cheers
