With 16k on my 355 the front chin needs some touchup. Has anyone else had this done and if so what was the average cost for this? Thanks Chris
The PO of mine redid it right before my purchase, but the color was off, so i had it done after delivery, and which he was gracious enough to send a check to cover the expense. I got several quotes, from $700 to $1100. The $700 was at a mom and pop place that was dirty and didn't impress me, and the $1100 was from a place that had pictures of Porsches and Ford GT's they had done. The PO agreed to let me go with the high end shop I had confidence in, which I really appreciated. They still had trouble getting the bumper cover off, and I found a couple of runs in the clear that they had to touch up. So no one will be perfect, and after another 16k you will need it again. Color match may be the biggest issue.
FOH quoted about $2000. But, this included removing the chin spoiler on my 348 Serie Speciale and doing minor repairs to chips.
Wow, up to $2000? My friend paints front bars here for $500. He is the BEST spray painter in town. I suggest take the car to a good paint shop and get a quote. Its the best way to go about it. My Brother chipped the paint off my front bar. Here are some before and after pics. My friend rubbed it back and painted it for me. He blended in the colour perfectly. Did a fantastic job for $100. I had the front valance and right front fender done by a local shop for around $1200 which included a complete detail of the rest of the exterior. We had a ***** of a time getting the color just right- eventually having the paint photographed and a custom color mixed- Results looks perfect!
In my opinion, $2000 for this job is excessive, but if there are other repairs involved then that is a different story.
Are you still talking to your brother teach him that this is 6 inches<.....................................................................................................> and thats how far he needs to be away from the parking barrier.
Lol, yeah man. He actually drove into his kids ride on car and dragged it under the front bar causing the paint to chip. Here is a re-enactment of the crime scene. Image Unavailable, Please Login
