    Hey guys,

So I am in the process of changing the color of my 458, I've gone for peelable paint as it is a proper glossy finish unlike wraps and keeps the original color underneath.

The original color was black and the new one will be candy red, now we have an issue with the underside of the the convertible roof, I have read somewhere that keeping it open for 1-2 hours might ruin the mechanism engine, is this true? Are there any other ways to go about this without having to take it apart, any videos/pictures would be appreciated, I have attached a picture of the part I am talking about, thanks!

I think this panel is referred to as the Tonneau Cover,
(Sorry but don’t know if pausing the roof operation mid cycle will damage the mechanism,
A qualified body shop will probably tell you that in order to paint the panel properly it would probably need to be removed.
I’m not sure about a paint film installation process.

Yes they removed all of the other panels, but they said that this is very tricky to uninstall, does anyone have experience with it?
