    Fellas, need some advice-

Need to get a PDA device that I can check e-mail and go online with. Doesn't need to have MP3, video, or any of that....just need to be able to access e-mail at anytime and be able to use the internet (on the road a lot and need to access a website that provides my sales information, efficiencies, labor, COGS, etc in real time).

I technically don't need another mobile number, but if I have to get one that's fine. I'm debating b/w one of the Palms, Blackberry, or anything else.....suggestions would be a huge help!!! thanks guys

Between the two mentioned, I prefer the Blackberry. As far as the idea of checking your website for sales/efficiency info, etc ... you'll probably need to recode your webpages to be Blackberry or Palm compatible (needs to be displayed differently to fit on the PDA sized screens). If that isn't an option, you may want to look into a tablet PC. Not exactly something that you can clip to your belt, but it can go in the car with you and has a relatively normal sized screen for viewing web pages. It's also a complete computer so you can view your excel and word documents, use a messenger/chat program if you want, etc.

Pocket PC. This is the way to go, IMO. Better web browsing, pocket outlook, more options.

Check out the I-mate line, www.clubimate.com or www.dweiniger.com. Also, HP is about to release their new PPC handheld, with integrated keyboard and GPS. The E-ten M500 is nice, but harder to find, and the BenQ P50 will be nice, but isn't out yet. Cingular may still have the Siemens SX66, and Verizon an Audiovox (I think), which are re-badged I-Mate PDA2k's.

The Palm (TREO 650) would be a second choice, the web browser will probably be better than what you'll find on the Blackberry. The Blackberry is geared for e-mail, not PDA functions. The Pocket PC devices have a nice combination of both e-mail/web ability and PDA functions.
