    Already got it off the wall and reset the ribbon cables. No joy. I am trying to figure out which of the driver boards it may be as they are relatively cheap to the $2000 I spent on this 65 inch 3d monster 3 years ago. Loved the TV and its picture. I had it on today hooked to my Linux Mint pc / home theater. Walked out of the room, came back in, there was the 5 inch wide black bar on the screen as seen in the pics. I realize the PDP (panel) may be bad, but I am trying to determine how to verify that as root cause. Any help would be great as Google and YouTube have not been able to help me any further.

    Dead pixels. Happened to my Sony LCD, only 7 years old. Mine has a very thin horizontal bar in the bottom right zone of the TV. More of a nuisance than anything else, but it sucks. I'm not spending $500 to fix it, when I can spend $300 to buy a new TV.
