please show your photo with history. Here below a Pantera chassis 2862 who claim to be in Portugal. As fare as today, I known 3 cars with the same chassis number
Hello English Reader, Be carefull with this car...!!!!! We (I'm the french moderateur of the MOTORLEGEND forum) have some problems with 3 cars PANTERA 2862. One is the real car and two are fake. See the demonstration below : One of them (A belgian owner) have the real car in his garage and a friend take some photos about this car last week in SPA http://www.pistenclub.de/gallery08/spa_13-05-08/index.html Mister OLCZYK write in his book : http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/6130/numriser0017lc9.jpg http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/8751/numriser0019du3.jpg A Portugese sale This car in CLASSIC & SPORTS CARS magazine (june 2008 issue) : http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/6152/annonceolczykas3.jpg And mister MICHANGELI said the the same car is his possession since 1972... Have a look in this web site : http://www.qv500.com/detomasoregistrynews0805.php Where is the true ? PS : Currently the topic in MOTORLEGEND is close because some person have interest in this history.
That's worrying with this guy ! All things he writes, there is doubt. His books always bring a lot of controversy. I remember Ferrari Fifty years on the track and 166 to F50 GT, then Porsche 904 The truth and the rumours, Alfa Romeo TZ (first issue), now with De Tomaso The official who appoints Racing History. He wrote nonsense for selling fakes ? He believes that people are fools ? We were in Monaco for the Historic GP, and guess whom we speak ? Yes when we look at Paul Grant in its beautiful Cooper, we are talking about him. Paul Grant is it an party ? Hostage? Ignorant ? It's not an affirmation but the only one a question !
Davier, is it a real name or a pseudo ?. Give me your tel number and adress, it will be better to talk to me directly if you are a man You are jalous or just ignorant ? You remember all my books, thanks but forgive me as me I don t remember you as you are nobody. Concerning the official book De Tomaso, they are no controversy at all, only bad cars who try to change history during their life. I known today 3 cars with vin number 2862 and it s quite normal that 2 owners are not happy by my research. Concerning the Candy Gr5, let the experts talk and stay quiet as you known nothing. Car was sold without chassis number in 1980, I have the original invoice I would expect some excuses from you but I doubt that you will ever show your real face.
Topic was close because the Belgium owner was too upset that 3 cars had the same number. Where is the true ? Good question I didn t see the POrtuguese car I ve seen the Italian one with the papers. I ve seen Patrick Hals Belgium car. My opinion is on my website, I don t wish to repeat this here. P.S De tomaso factory decide who is right or wrong, not me. I m not God
Kool ! Don't worry, I observe carefully your travels and your adventures on the Internet forums. It's all the time same words and similar challenges: pseudonym, no courage, I am the only one to write the truth, etc. etc. I establish only, not judgement. Sorry mister, I don't want to make you a victim.
I m not surprise by your poor attitude. No courage at all. When I meet Andrea Zagato or when I have diner with Santiago De Tomaso, we never talk about you. If you want to talk to me, don t be a little baby hidding behind your pc
Talking about pseudonums. There is a [email protected], that sprays around emails about the Group4. Nobody ever mett him. Why?? A quick look at the owner of www. ferraribuy.com shows an old friend, who "always" shows his name... AND, are you jalous that I own a fews website ? , you forget to show also www.classicscars.com What about your adress ? or you prefer hyde ?
De Tomaso is a very easy market compare to Ferrari where I known 2 or 3 cars Ferrari 250 LM claiming the same chassis number. Everythings is easy for the real buyer. Don t forget that De Tomaso race car really pick up in value when the book was out. Before that, only a very fews was able to make the difference between a real or mickey mouse Gr3 or Gr4. It s one of the reason why we see some heat as the funny mickey mouse car owners are not happy because they knew the truth or didn t known the truth. I known some big cars dealers who have claim to have a ex Le Mans Gr4 when in reality, it was a Gr3. I known street car built with Gr4 parts who claim Le Mans history. All theses people try to claim that the official book is wrong etc etc.. And nobody on this forum never saw a transaction for a real Gr4. They heard rumours about value but never saw the money on the table. Everybody have seen some cars who are for sale for ever with stupids prices. REal value is less that what people think. Real value is what people pay, not what you see on a website
Be careful out there.. http://www.qv500.com/detomasoregistrysport70p.php http://www.qv500.com/detomasoregistrysportquail.php
Very funny and exactly what I just say, Ben Thyer is a kid with no money, and try to look like an internet expert on DE Tomaso. Both cars 5000 are 100 % documented and invoice by the factory. For sure, Ben cannot afford to buy one of them. If you are rich, you are welcome to see the documentation...lol
Well, IMHO it could be read that Mr Tyer has in effect been calling Mr. Olzcyk a fraudster for a quite a while on those pages. I wonder why Mr. Olzcyk has not sued Mr. Tyer for libel?
Since when is knowledge a question of money? Knowledge can't be bought for any money in the world. Knowledge is something that takes years to get. You are a very short time in the DT documentation. Before Mr.DeTomaso passed away, you didn't know anything about the marque. So where did you get your "knowledge" from? From Santiago, who doesn't know anything about race Panteras? From looking into the archives for some time? Old racers like Guy Trigaux, Claude Dubois, Clay Regazzoni and others know more. And they know... Didn't you ask some of the race car owners for a huge amount of money to name them and there cars in your book to lift the value of the cars? Didn't you loan pictures and promised rewards to the owners and they didn't get anything? Not even the pictures back? Didn't you offer documents to owners of cars, that are property of DeTomaso? You did !! The DeTomaso community is so small and latest now everyone knows, what to think about you and your statements. As long as someone sees your and all other books about DeTomaso as a nice collection of pictures, it is ok. Every of these books carry a lot of mistakes. But you are the only one, who claimes to be the founder of the truth. The truth is, that this book was only written by you, to make more profit on cars you and Paul Grant have. For looking at Pictures, it is a great book. The DeTomaso community is thankful for that, but not thankfull for all the burning bridges you have left.
This thread has made me curious, very curious, no doubt it will not take too much effort to find out whats going on cos I'm a little lost, like P874 says the De Tomaso community is a small one.
Looks like someone is trying to make one of the fake GT4s legit. Which is probably easier than making a Pantera into a winning race car
You are so right, But if they win, they beat hardly. On track they never met other italion stallions. May be it was harder for them to make a grandfathers street car to a race car in that days. Image Unavailable, Please Login
