I heard a rumour today that I sincerely hope is not true. Has Paragon gone out of business? Anyone is welcome to chime in with details. Again, this was a rumour so if it is not true, I apologize.

I drove by thier window late one night to drool at the cars about a month ago, sign still said Paragon in the background. I thought maybe they had gone out of business too at one point, cause all I saw were "generic" cars, a beemer, a merz, a few american cars. But this time I saw a Diablo VT and I think the yellow Pantera was still there.

Anyone else know if they are still in business? I'll hop buy sometime to check them out and see for myself if I get a break at work tomorrow.

I was in yesterday and they had a few to choose from: DB9, 911, Bentley Arnage (I think), noble, mg and I think an early 280sl. didn’t stay long Matthew was on the phone and talked to Eric. So no new scoop just the doors are still open.

Well, that's good news. I guess as long as they are still open, maybe this thread should be locked? I don't want to harm anyone's business.

I went in there last week and they were still in business. They had a bunch of cars in the back and were servicing a few ferraris. I got the feeling that they were doing very well.

:) agreed, but I wasn't looking to give Paragon any type of publicity. I heard a rumor yesterday and thought this would be the easiest place to get an answer.

Derek, I didn't say you were looking to give them any.. I just thought when you said lock the thread because you thought it might a negative affect, I was presenting that there was at least that one positive one.. I guess I will just have to drop by Ferrari of Denver soon and spend more money..and see what you have new in..both cars and apparel. Well, and drop by Paragon too..

Just dropped by Paragon today, sparce on cars, but Matt was there. I guess I had the same idea to stop in as 3 other couples, he was busy...

He seemed fine, remembered me and about a car I was asking about.

There were only 2 cars in the showroom when I got there, a 348 GTS (really pretty yellow with tan) and a Burgandy (forgot the italian name) 360 F1. That was a PRETTY car (that I can't afford).

There were a few outside on display, one was a Mercedes SL R129 (1990s) and I forgot the other 2.

Interestingly, he did have a 308GT4 there, customers car, seemed the owner MIGHT want to sell, not sure, but it was a series 2 I think (1976 or 1979 with a sunroof, Red / Tan).

Anyway, he's still there as of now. I was disappointed I didn't see the Diablo SVT, that was pretty through the window, but it wasn't there today.

A 6speedonline member posted this today: "I drove by there today. The signs are gone and there is only one car in the showroom and the service bays are empty".

    Anyone knows any update?

I heard this also recently, from an independent source - they had driven by Paragon recently and it was essentially empty. Paragon was also not at the Cerebral Palsy Councors unlike in previous years (2005, 2006).

I was in the area today and drove through the parking lot. There were a couple of people cleaning up, but the place was pretty empty. The bays were empty (no lifts), the display cases in the showroom were empty. No signs on the building, etc.

Called thier listed number today, recording says "I'm sorry, your call cannot be completed". Double-checked and I did not mis-dial.

I'm guessing they are gone..... too bad. Matt was a very nice gentleman, but it must be a hard business to be in. I didn't buy a car from them, but I might have if the right car had come by.

Good luck Matt, whereever you are.

They are no longer in that space in Arapohoe anymore as of yesterday. But it doesn't mean that it Paragon is out yet......

Honestly, thats why I called then drove by. If they were re-locating, I would have assumed thier number would have followed them (or at least have some sort of "coming soon" message).

However, when I drove by, the place is literally stripped bare. The lifts are gone, the decor is gone, signage is gone. If they went bankrupt, I would have thought that the bankrupcy would not have allowed the place to be stripped.

    ---shrug---

I hope they just moved, but it was kinda bad business not to forward thier phone or at least give some notification.

Too bad. I enjoyed, at the very least, driving by the showroom. A tough business to be in is exactly right.
